Job Title: Senior Pension Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pension Analyst to join our team at CLHIA. As a key member of our Insurance Policy and Regulation department, you will play a critical role in advancing the interests of the life and health insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advancing policy, legislative, and regulatory environments related to insurance distribution and marketplace regulation
  • Optimizing the policy and legislative environment to benefit the life and health insurance industry
  • Collaborating with industry stakeholders, government officials, and CLHIA staff to build consensus on industry policy positions
  • Monitoring external developments, including government policy changes, regulatory updates, and media trends
  • Supporting the planning and execution of relevant CLHIA conferences and education programs
Requirements:
  • University degree in a related field (e.g. economics, policy, public administration, law)
  • 2-4 years of experience in a compliance, policy, or legal role in the financial services sector
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including problem-solving and complex issue analysis
  • Understanding of policy and legislative processes, especially those involving provincial and territorial governments
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and digital communication
  • Proven ability to manage and build effective relationships with industry stakeholders, government officials, and CLHIA staff
