Position Overview:

We are seeking a Finance Director to become an integral part of our Senior Leadership team. This role is pivotal in establishing, executing, and sustaining robust financial and operational frameworks that foster a thriving growth environment. The Finance Director will report directly to the CEO and will have the flexibility to work remotely or from various regional locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Establish, oversee, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for finance and accounting teams.
    • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate Finance & Accounting personnel, focusing on performance assessments and career development.
    • Exemplify the TLC Solutions Way through leadership.
    • Foster a culture of joy in technology within the Finance & Accounting teams, emphasizing values-driven decision-making and client-centric solutions.
  • Strategic Financial Operations:
    • Manage financial operations for TLC's Canadian and US entities.
    • Lead the annual budgeting and sales forecasting processes in collaboration with departmental managers.
    • Oversee inter-company billing and ensure adherence to best practices.
    • Guide teams in implementing efficient financial systems.
    • Supervise all expenditures, benefit plans, leases, fuel cards, and payroll processes.
    • Champion the integration of accounting software solutions.
    • Coordinate fleet leasing requirements in collaboration with relevant departments.
    • Oversee expense management and data entry processes.
  • Reporting:
    • Translate financial reports into clear, accessible language for stakeholders.
    • Design and maintain monthly profit and loss statements as necessary.
    • Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports, including reconciliations and software integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designations such as CA, CMA, or CPA are preferred.
  • Proficient in communicating financial data and processes.
  • Experience in a rapidly expanding environment is highly desirable.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook).
