Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team at BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our Labour and Delivery department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Manage patient records, including filing and retrieving charts
  • Enter patient information into our electronic medical record system
  • Coordinate patient transfers and discharges
  • Prepare and process physicians' orders
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phones and responding to emails
Requirements
  • Grade 12 graduation
  • Graduation from an approved Nursing Unit Clerk program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • One year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
