Position Overview

What is the opportunity?

As an RBC Investment and Retirement Advisor, you will be responsible for crafting personalized investment strategies for both prospective and existing clients. Your role will be supported by a network of internal partners who will provide client referrals, allowing you to focus on your own prospecting and networking efforts. Your innovative thinking, enthusiasm, and ambition in driving investment sales will empower you to deliver exceptional advice and solutions that assist clients in reaching their long-term financial aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customized financial planning guidance and solutions utilizing our extensive range of investment and portfolio options, including top-tier proprietary and select third-party mutual fund offerings.
  • Attract and consolidate both existing and new clients and their assets.
  • Connect clients with appropriate RBC team members to continuously address their needs.
  • Build external business referral networks through strategic networking, marketing, and leveraging your professional connections.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • Financial Planning Designation (PFP or CFP)
  • Mutual Funds License (IFIC or CSC)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial planning
  • Demonstrated networking and client acquisition capabilities
  • Ability to foster strong partner relationships
  • Proficiency in digital tools and mobile applications
  • Bilingual - Proficiency in English and German is an asset
