BC Sales Trainer Job Description

As a key member of our team, the BC Sales Trainer will collaborate with leadership and the national training team to design and deliver impactful learning experiences. This role plays a vital part in creating, implementing, and conducting training programs that empower sales teams to achieve their goals and advance their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and communication with team members to identify training requirements.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in learning and development to inform training strategies.
  • Develop and deliver various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training, including in-person and virtual sessions.
  • Design and acquire unique training plans and materials tailored to the specific needs of our team members.
  • Maintain training and development KPIs and evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Participate in the National Training Council to develop and maintain training materials for the sales force.
  • Deliver Gordon Food Service training and track progress in the Learning Management System, providing expertise and training to others on utilizing the LMS.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Adult Education is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of previous communications or training and development experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and provide recommendations and solutions.
  • Ability to translate strategic initiatives into concrete objectives and action plans.
  • Ability to develop presentations and skills using audio/visual equipment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management to facilitate group discussions and convey company programs and training.
  • Experience in training both in-person and remote teams.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends.
