Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Compliance Officer to join our team at Transamerica. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing our compliance program and ensuring that our business operations are in line with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program that addresses all aspects of our business operations.
  • Regulatory Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory risks associated with our business activities.
  • Compliance Policy Development: Create and maintain compliance policies and procedures that are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide regular training and awareness programs for employees on compliance-related matters.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor compliance-related activities and report to senior management on any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in insurance compliance, with a strong background in regulatory affairs.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Life, Accident and Sickness/Personal Insurance Licenses in all provinces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Fluency in French is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Office Environment: This role will be based in an office environment, with occasional travel required.
