Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology System Analyst to join our team at Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools. As a key member of our Information Technology Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our learning spaces and fostering a culture of innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Division's software systems, utilizing existing skills or through training provided by the Division.
  • Support the maintenance of the Division's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, battery backups, and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Provide on-site technical support to teachers, staff, and students across the Division.
  • Respond to incoming Help Desk requests using a collaborative team approach.
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology team to uphold and evolve IT protocols, ensuring optimal learning environments.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Life-long Learning: Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS), network administration, software installation, troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance. A candidate with experience with cloud-based software would be considered an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, able to tailor communication to specific end-users.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and address technical issues with a solution-focused approach.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
