The Product Owner for the Observability Platform at Export Development Canada (EDC) will oversee the comprehensive management of the platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization. This role is pivotal in defining the strategic framework and operational metrics that drive the platform's success.

Team Overview
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group is dedicated to delivering secure and efficient digital experiences. The Service Delivery & Resiliency team is focused on enhancing technology accessibility and fostering robust relationships with business units to optimize their technology experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary owner of EDC's Observability Platform, managing all aspects of its development and implementation.
- Establish and maintain metrics, Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure the platform meets organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and engineers, to drive IT transformation and enhance support structures.
- Develop strategies to improve business application performance and minimize downtime through effective monitoring tools.
- Guide the integration of the Observability Platform with existing IT operations management systems.
- Conduct regular operational reviews and report on platform performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in observability to ensure EDC remains competitive.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience with monitoring technologies.
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies and managing platforms or products.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Additional Assets
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies, ITIL, or Agile methodologies.
- Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace and ServiceNow.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
