About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at True North Star Subs Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that our food service operations are financially sustainable.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment
    • Wet/damp work site environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The language of work is English.
