About the Role
As a Physician specializing in Palliative Care and Symptom Management, you will play a vital role in supporting cancer patients. You will collaborate closely with oncology teams to ensure continuity of care and provide comprehensive palliative care services.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing expert consultation on palliative care options.
- Educating patients, families, and healthcare professionals about palliative care principles and symptom management strategies.
- Contributing to research initiatives focused on improving palliative care practices.
- Engaging in public education efforts to raise awareness about palliative care services.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the requirements set by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, BC Cancer, and the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Preference will be given to candidates with specific certifications or training in palliative care.
