About Our Program

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at The Rec Room Child Care. As a Program Teacher for Toddlers and Preschoolers, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and engaging environment that fosters a love of learning and exploration.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans and activities that support the unique needs and interests of our Toddlers and Preschoolers.
  • Provide guidance and support to children as they learn and grow, encouraging their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, including regular updates on children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities, including meals, naps, and behavior, using our digital platform to communicate with parents and guardians.
  • Create and implement Individual Support Plans when required, advocating for children with unique needs and ensuring their inclusion in our program.
Requirements
  • Have PR status
  • Not a student
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
Technical Training and Experience Requirements
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Minimum 2-year employment experience working with Toddlers and Preschool children in a group setting
  • Experienced in using ELECT and How Does Learning Happen in Emergent Curriculum planning
  • All necessary qualifications and credentials as required by the Ministry of Education
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED Certification
