About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and special events that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Conference and Meeting Services
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our conference and meeting services
    • Collaborate with sales teams to identify new business opportunities
  • Assist in Budget Preparation
    • Work with the finance team to prepare and manage event budgets
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient spending practices
  • Coordinate Conference and Meeting Activities
    • Oversee the planning and execution of conferences and meetings, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless event execution
  • Manage Event Logistics
    • Coordinate transportation, accommodation, and other logistical arrangements for event attendees
    • Ensure that all event materials, including agendas, schedules, and itineraries, are prepared and distributed in a timely manner
  • Plan and Arrange for Accommodation and Transportation Services
    • Research and recommend hotels, transportation providers, and other service providers
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure that all logistical arrangements are in place
  • Plan Schedules, Goals, and Objectives
    • Develop and implement event schedules, including agendas, timelines, and deadlines
    • Work with event speakers and presenters to ensure that their needs are met
  • Plan for Required Documentation and Pre- and Post-Distribution of Documentation
    • Develop and implement a system for tracking and distributing event documentation, including itineraries, evaluations, and other materials
    • Ensure that all event documentation is accurate, complete, and distributed in a timely manner
  • Plan for VIP Arrangements
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure that VIP attendees receive special treatment and attention
    • Ensure that all VIP arrangements are in place and executed smoothly
  • Plan for Social Events and Guest Programs
    • Develop and implement social events and guest programs that enhance the overall event experience
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure that all social events and guest programs are executed smoothly
  • Manage Event Staff
    • Supervise and manage event staff, including coordinators, assistants, and other support personnel
    • Ensure that all event staff are trained and equipped to provide excellent service to event attendees
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
    • Ensure that all event attendees receive excellent customer service, including prompt responses to inquiries and requests
    • Work with event speakers and presenters to ensure that their needs are met
  • Monitor and Evaluate Event Success
    • Develop and implement a system for tracking and evaluating event success, including attendee feedback and satisfaction surveys
    • Use data and insights to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance future events
