Job Summary:

Actims is seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for applying, removing, and repairing thermal and acoustical insulation on industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insulation Installation: Select and install the appropriate insulation materials and methods to ensure optimal thermal and acoustical performance.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to identify areas requiring repair or replacement, and perform maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare equipment surfaces for insulation installation, including cleaning, sanding, and applying coatings as required.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to ensure insulation installation meets project specifications and deadlines.

Working Conditions:

As an Insulation Specialist, you will work in a variety of environments, including industrial facilities, construction sites, and outdoors. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with hazardous materials. You must be able to work safely and efficiently in these conditions.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in insulation installation, removal, and repair.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of insulation materials, methods, and safety protocols; ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
