Job Summary

The City of Victoria BC is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our Information Technology Team. As a key member of our digital transformation initiative, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to create insights and drive informed decision-making across cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams and business units to implement Business Intelligence tools and processes that enhance and support sound enterprise data analytics and architecture.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance in the development and maintenance of a corporate data framework and centre of excellence.
  • Adhere to data governance policies and security protocols, maintaining data privacy and compliance with established requirements.
  • Generate and customize intuitive reports, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to specific business needs and objectives using business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and Azure SQL database operations and optimization.
Working Conditions

This is a CUPE Local 50 Position.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, (35 hour work week)

$58.40 per hour, Pay Grade 18 (under review)
