Main Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the engineering coordinator, offering support to the team in the design, planning, management, and oversight of engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, timelines, and financial plans.
  • Deliver technical support to operations, maintenance, and various plant services.
  • Address sector demands within a framework of continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across engineering, maintenance, and operations.
  • Occasionally oversee external contractors and consultants.
  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to achieve project objectives.
  • Enhance processes and maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Investigate and devise solutions for recurring challenges.
  • Guarantee compliance with health and safety, environmental, quality, and responsible management standards.

Professional Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Significant experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Experience in the pulp and paper sector or heavy industry is advantageous.
  • Proactive, customer-focused, team-oriented individual with strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Results-driven, dynamic, self-sufficient, with the capacity to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • PMP certification is a valuable asset.
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers.
  • Excellent communication proficiency in both French and English.
