Registered Nurse/RPN, Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/RPN to join our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide person-centered care to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders, promoting recovery and rehabilitation in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial and ongoing mental health and substance use client assessments, providing nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, collaborating with the interprofessional care team to ensure client-centered care.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families/caregivers, promoting empowerment and self-management of mental health and substance use issues.
- Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in mental health and substance use care.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of recent, related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders in a community or acute setting.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
