Mental Health Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mental Health team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide person-centered and recovery-oriented care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team.
- Provide direct nursing care to clients, including medication administration, wound care, and ADLs, while promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and community agencies to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting client self-determination and independence.
- Participate in case conferences and meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to treatment and client-centered care.
- Consult and collaborate with members of the interprofessional care team to identify and resolve issues, adjust care plans as required, and address changes in client condition.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of recent, related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders in a community or acute setting.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
