We are seeking a skilled Construction Painter to join our team at Insite Construction Management. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces are ready for painting.
- Wall Covering: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
- Equipment Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, and roller painting equipment to achieve the desired finish.
- Coating and Application: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
- Work Setting: Work in various locations, including construction sites and offices.
- Physical Capabilities: Possess attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and reliability in the workplace.
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Work Environment: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term and English as the primary work language.
