Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bylaw Enforcement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing municipal bylaws and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce municipal bylaws and policies through inspections, investigations, and education
  • Process and serve documents, including tickets and notices
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve compliance
  • Investigate complaints and determine appropriate action
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience or equivalent experience in law enforcement or a related field
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Successful completion of courses related to criminology and/or investigative skills
  • Knowledge of municipal bylaws and policies, as well as relevant legislation and regulations
  • Strong conflict management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
