Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Community Respiratory Therapist. This role is responsible for delivering community respiratory services, promoting respiratory health, and providing education and support to patients with respiratory dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement respiratory care plans for patients with respiratory dysfunction
  • Provide diagnostic testing, disease management education, and respiratory intervention based on care plans
  • Assess patients for appropriate home oxygen and respiratory therapy
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide recommendations and advice
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality improvement activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT)
  • Two years' recent related experience in respiratory home care
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid BC driver's license and access to personal vehicle for work-related purposes
