About the Role
The Community Respiratory Therapist is part of the Fraser Health team, providing essential respiratory care services to the community. This role entails promoting respiratory health, conducting assessments, diagnostic testing, education, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients with respiratory dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
- Provide diagnostic testing, disease management education, and support to patients and their families.
- Formulate and document patient care plans, ensuring safe and effective application of respiratory equipment and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and community meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam.
- Current CPR certification and valid BC driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
