About the Role

Medtronic is seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Clinical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our integrated Diabetes Sales Team, you will provide training and support to healthcare professionals, patients, and diabetes clinics within academic and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain excellent clinical skills to provide training, support, and resources to patients on Medtronic Diabetes products.
  • Support and complement the Territory Sales Manager's efforts from a clinical, educational, and sales perspective for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Understand and apply evidence-based clinical research in the education of healthcare professionals.
  • Train, educate, and support healthcare professionals regarding Medtronic Diabetes technology as it applies to their patients and practice.
  • Participate and contribute as part of the Regional team.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and good problem-solving capacity.
  • Excellent training skills - able to train internal staff as needed and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent educational skills - able to translate complex clinical, evidence-based medicine into the real-world day-to-day application and education for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in patient education and training.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong presentation skills to small and large groups of healthcare professionals.
  • Effective and efficient computer skills; Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Diabetes Educator an asset.
  • Able to adapt to and be effective in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Industry-related experience - excellent working knowledge and experience in Diabetes and Insulin Pump Technology.
  • Travel is required for this position.
