Job Title: Municipal Engineer

Randstad Canada is partnering with a reputable client to find a talented Municipal Engineer with experience in Municipal Infrastructure projects in Ontario. This role requires a P.Eng license and involves working on a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee technical milestones and phases of projects
  • Manage budgets and deadlines
  • Design public sector municipal servicing projects
  • Design and execute municipal infrastructure projects, including watermain, sewers, retaining walls, pumping stations, and road design
  • Review design drawings
  • Manage contract specifications and documentation
  • Review and analyze project schedules
  • Provide input to proposal preparation, project cost estimates, and budgets
  • Liaise with municipal, utility, and approval agencies
  • Author feasibility studies and technical engineering reports
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of municipal infrastructure experience
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
  • Experience working as a Design Engineer
  • Knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications
  • Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes
  • Experience with watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, forcemain, grading plans, and drainage design projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trenchless infrastructure design experience
  • Project Management experience on municipal and/or private sector projects
  • Knowledge and experience with Contract Administration and/or Pumping Station Design
