Job Title: Municipal Engineer

Randstad Canada is excited to partner with one of our reputable clients in their search for a talented Municipal Engineer, who will have experience working within a wide range of Municipal Infrastructure projects in Ontario. This position requires someone who has their P.Eng license.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of technical milestones and phases of the project
  • Manage budgets and deadlines for the project
  • Design of public sector municipal servicing projects
  • Design and project execution for municipal infrastructure projects including: watermain, sewers, retaining walls, pumping stations, road design
  • Review design drawings
  • Manage the development of contract specifications and documentation
  • Review and analyze project schedules for activities
  • Provide input to the preparation of proposals, project cost estimates, and budgets in collaboration with Senior Management
  • Liaise with various municipal/utility/approval agencies
  • Author feasibility studies and technical engineering reports
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years of municipal infrastructure experience
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
  • Experience working as a Design Engineer
  • Knowledge and application of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications
  • Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes
  • Experience with watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, forcemain, grading plans, and drainage design projects
