Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst and Project Manager to join our team at the University of Ottawa. As a key member of our Faculty of Medicine, you will play a critical role in driving business improvement initiatives, innovation, and customer service throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of operational requirements, process efficiencies, and existing system capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion. Lead the Faculty development initiatives and act as a team leader by supervising the implementation of solutions.
- Expert Advice: Provide expert guidance to senior management, faculty, and clinical members on business analysis, technology recommendations, and implementation strategies to ensure alignment with the Faculty's vision and direction.
- Business Requirements: Organize, specify, and model client business requirements to ensure completeness and unambiguity. Translate these requirements into technical specifications and functional requirements to facilitate a smooth transition to the development team.
- Project Delivery: Assist with the implementation of workflow changes in faculty operations, ensuring a seamless technology solution transition. Support users in integrating new systems into their work environment and adapting their business processes to meet the requirements of the new systems.
- University degree in computer science, business administration, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of related experience in supporting business units and their information technology needs.
- Experience in project management, including managing interdisciplinary teams, creating estimates, and performing risk analyses.
- Experience in customer service, including evaluating customer needs, communicating technical concepts, and converting business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to interact with senior management for strategic issues and work with minimal supervision, under pressure, and with firm deadlines.
- Advanced interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with Faculty business clients, external vendors, and technical resources.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and priority-management skills.
- Bilingualism - French and English (oral and written).
