Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker IV to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to building maintenance, repair, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend renovations to facilities to improve functionality and efficiency
  • Prepare estimates of labor and material costs for maintenance projects
  • Monitor maintenance contract work to ensure adherence to facility requirements
  • Perform maintenance and repair duties in areas such as electrical and painting
  • Monitor expenditures and make recommendations regarding budget for assigned area
  • Oversee and update standards and procedures for assigned area
  • Supervise Maintenance Workers and other designated staff by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments, evaluating employee performance, and determining related training and orientation requirements

Qualifications

  • Grade 10, plus three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to organize work
  • Ability to operate related equipment
