Position Overview:

As a vital part of our surgical team, the Surgical Processor plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability and safety of surgical instruments and supplies. Our organization is committed to excellence in patient care, and you will be integral in maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency in the Operating Room (OR).

Key Responsibilities:

In the role of Surgical Processor, your primary duties will include:

  • Decontaminating, reassembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical supplies.
  • Adhering to aseptic techniques and Universal Precautions to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI).
  • Conducting thorough checks to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Performing biological, chemical, and quality assurance testing on surgical instruments.
  • Reporting any issues or discrepancies to the supervising personnel.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program. Additionally, certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is required.

Additional Qualifications:

Other qualifications may be necessary as per the role's requirements.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience within an Operating Room environment is highly desirable.
