Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team at SS&C Technologies Holdings. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax guidance and support to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and prepare tax provisions and income allocations for investment funds, including trusts and limited partnerships.
  • Review and prepare trust income tax returns and partnership financial returns using tax software.
  • Liaise with investment fund managers and audit firms during the audit and review process.
  • Advise clients and internal parties on all tax-related matters.
  • Assist and participate in special projects and other duties as necessary.
  • Lead in the development and mentorship of junior tax staff.
  • Participate fully as a member of the Canadian and U.S. teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Stay current on changes to tax legislation and other tax compliance requirements for investment funds.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate accounting, finance, or equivalent degree.
  • Must have a professional accounting designation.
  • A minimum of 5 years of tax experience, in the financial services and asset management industry.
  • High proficiency with Excel and experience working with tax software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
