Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Sterling Kitchens & Bath Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs for building projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including those in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Handle heavy loads and materials.
Requirements:
  • Accurate and reliable with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Will train and develop skills as needed.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
