Job Title: Converting Utility Operator

We are seeking a skilled Converting Utility Operator to join our team at Atlantic Packaging. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and equipment, maintaining equipment, and producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Produce high-quality products that meet company standards
  • Work in a team environment and provide backup relief as needed
  • Perform setup procedures and run equipment at or above required standards
  • Strap up and load scrap, and assist with large load procedures
  • Monitor and supply materials as needed
  • Empty waste containers and garbage bins
  • Monitor partial warehouse units
  • Follow ISO and HACCP procedures
  • Report problems to supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Safety Responsibilities:
  • Follow equipment-specific physical lockout/tagout procedures
  • Report hazards and problems to supervisors
  • Use pre-use inspection forms and Manager Plus
  • Use hazard reporting forms
  • Report injuries and incidents to supervisors
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Complete daily operator checklists
  • Abide by plant rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 10
  • Basic math skills
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Machine operation skills
  • Current Tow Motor permit
  • Organization skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts
