Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Converting Utility Operator to join our team at Atlantic Packaging. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other equipment to produce high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials and products safely and efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Work in a team environment to achieve production goals and objectives.
- Perform setup procedures and run equipment at or above required standards.
- Strap up and load scrap, and assist with loading large loads.
- Monitor and supply materials and supplies as needed.
- Empty waste containers and garbage bins regularly.
- Monitor partial warehouse units according to production needs.
- Follow all ISO and HACCP procedures.
- Report any problems or issues to your supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow equipment-specific physical lockout/tagout procedures.
- Report any hazards or problems to your supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 education.
- Basic math skills.
- Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
- Machine operation skills.
- Current Tow Motor permit.
- Organization skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
- Team player.
- Self-starter.
