Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Assistant Float Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support services, including vital signs, wound care, and mobility assistance.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, such as phlebotomy and ECGs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Course (Completion of Health Care Aide and Health Unit Clerk).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or ability to obtain same prior to employment.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting and transporting of patients, samples, and equipment to other areas.
  • Satisfactory employment record.
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in ambulatory and/or inpatient care setting.
