Support Specialist for Individuals with Unique Needs

As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with diverse needs. Your primary responsibility will be to offer tailored assistance through effective communication, life skills development, and fostering social interactions. You will help individuals achieve their personal objectives by employing a person-centered methodology.

DeafBlind Ontario Services is dedicated to supporting individuals who are deafblind, as well as those who are Deaf, hard of hearing, and non-verbal with developmental disabilities. Your Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive range of services tailored to each individual's specific needs and communication methods to promote independence and enrich their lives.

- Utilize various communication methods to facilitate effective information exchange.

Qualifications:
- Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education.
- Up to one year of relevant experience.
- Willingness to engage in training to develop specialized skills in sensory loss.
- A valid G Driver's License is considered an asset.
