Pharmacy Prescription Processing Specialist

CB Canada is seeking several Pharmacy Prescription Processing Specialists to join our team in the pharmaceutical sector. In this role, you will leverage your expertise as a Pharmacy Assistant to focus on the accurate entry of prescriptions into the pharmacy's digital system. Your responsibilities will include not only the precise processing of patient prescriptions but also the management and updating of electronic patient records.

  • Input prescriptions, refills, and modifications into patient records
  • Establish strong relationships and serve as a vital contact for clients and caregivers
  • Ensure accurate billing of prescriptions to drug plans and address any billing discrepancies
  • Create new patient profiles and maintain current records in the database
  • Generate prescription label printouts
  • Coordinate with nursing home teams to gather necessary order information for seamless patient care
  • Address supply chain challenges for medications with the team to ensure timely processing of prescription orders

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a focus on science or healthcare
  • A diploma or certificate related to pharmacy
  • Experience in pharmacy, particularly in Long Term Care settings
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen attention to detail
  • A self-driven attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality client service and fostering relationships
