Pharmacy Prescription Processing Specialist

CB Canada is seeking multiple Pharmacy Prescription Processing Specialists within the pharmaceutical sector. In this role, you will leverage your expertise as a Pharmacy Assistant to focus on the meticulous entry of prescriptions into the pharmacy's digital system. Your responsibilities will include not only the precise handling of patient prescriptions but also the management and updating of electronic patient records.

  • Input prescriptions, refills, and modifications into patient records
  • Establish and nurture relationships, serving as a vital contact for clients and patient caregivers
  • Ensure accurate billing of prescriptions to insurance plans and address any billing discrepancies
  • Create new patient profiles and maintain current records in the database
  • Generate prescription label printouts
  • Coordinate with nursing home teams to gather essential order information, ensuring seamless patient care
  • Collaborate with the team to navigate supply chain challenges for medications, ensuring timely processing of prescription orders

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree from an accredited institution with a focus on science or healthcare
  • A diploma or certificate related to pharmacy
  • Experience in pharmacy, particularly in Long Term Care settings
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen attention to detail
  • A self-driven attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality client service and fostering relationships
