About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Care Team Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals, you will be responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program
  • Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness

Candidates must be registered and active with the CCA Registry.
