Job Summary

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Home Care team. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in Downtown, East, and West Toronto regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Work with our multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Provide Therapy Sessions: Deliver therapy sessions, including balancing and strengthening exercises, to help our clients maintain their independence and mobility.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Attend client-related meetings to report on assessment findings and discuss plans for interventions with our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and complete clinical records are maintained in accordance with established procedures and confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements
  • Certificate or Diploma: Hold a Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant Program from a recognized community college program or school registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including the ability to lift, bend, and move with ease.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technology Proficiency: Possess proficiency in the use of technology, including MS Office and proprietary software.
  • Police Check and Driver's License: Hold a current police check for work with the vulnerable sector and a valid G driver's license with third-party insurance coverage.
