Job Summary:

Cashier/Count Specialist is a key role at CB Canada, responsible for managing the care, control, transfer, and balancing of financial assets at our gaming site. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, as well as the ability to accurately handle cash and voucher transactions with patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, handling cash and voucher transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Cash Management: Manage the care, control, transfer, and balancing of financial assets, ensuring compliance with AGCO regulations and company policies.
  • Counting and Balancing: Count bills, coins, and cash equivalents, and reconcile before and after counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Storage and Security: Organize and secure storage of count carts, drop boxes, drop buckets, and bill cartridges for count pulls.
  • Reporting and Verification: Report suspect cash and cash equivalents, and verify and reconcile counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Transportation and Security: Bag, bundle, secure, and transport counts, ensuring the integrity of financial assets.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma: A secondary school diploma is required for this role.
  • Customer Service Experience: One or more years of experience in customer service and handling cash (preferably large volumes) is preferred.
  • Cash Handling Skills: Strong knowledge of cash, foreign currency, and other settlement types is required.
  • Computer Software Skills: A working knowledge of computer software and the ability to learn new software and systems is necessary.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication, multi-tasking, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Mathematical Aptitude: A strong mathematical aptitude is necessary for this role.
  • Registration with AGCO: The ability to obtain registration as a category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is required.
