Position Overview:The Nursing Practice Educator plays a vital role in the orchestration, execution, and assessment of the clinical elements of undergraduate nursing programs. This position is designed to foster an engaging, collaborative, and inclusive learning atmosphere, aimed at enhancing students' skills in critical thinking, decision-making, and the attainment of essential competencies within the comprehensive framework of patient and client care.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute actively to the instruction of nursing skills within clinical practice laboratories.
- Provide clinical oversight for a cohort of nursing students in various healthcare environments.
- Support course leaders in delivering the theoretical aspects of clinical education.
- Engage in collaborative efforts to plan, execute, and evaluate the clinical segments of the undergraduate nursing curriculum.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current registration as a Nurse with BCCNM.
- Valid Nursing License in British Columbia.
- Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a clinical nursing role.
- Strong clinical expertise in areas such as Adult Acute/Critical Care, Maternal/Child Health, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Gerontology, or Community Health.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
- Prior teaching experience or a strong enthusiasm for educational roles.
