Pharmacy Assistant/Technician Position

Company: Super Thrifty Drugs Canada Ltd.

Type: Full Time – 18 Month Term

Super Thrifty Drugs Canada Ltd. is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant/Technician to fill a full-time role for a term of approximately 18 months. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the expectation of covering at least one Saturday shift each month. This role does not involve evening, Sunday, or holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately inputting and preparing prescription orders and compliance packs
  • Compounding specialty medications in a compliant laboratory environment
  • Interacting with Third Party Payers and Insurance Providers
  • Handling customer inquiries via phone and providing assistance
  • Managing pharmacy inventory effectively
  • Operating the cash register
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting; familiarity with Kroll is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers
  • Self-driven individual who can collaborate well within a team
