Currently, Progesys is in search of an Operations Director who will be instrumental in achieving growth targets in North America. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the CEO, requires a leader who can foster a workplace culture that resonates with the company's mission and values. The Operations Director will work closely with the senior management team to devise strategies and meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to manage the complete project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, close).
- Refine project delivery methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and ensure alignment with senior management.
- Formulate Portfolio Management milestone plans and allocate resources efficiently.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of Scope of Work and Deliverables among managers and project teams.
- Foster high engagement levels among project managers and teams to achieve outstanding results.
- Conduct regular assessments of project health and monitor overall project performance.
- Identify staffing needs and ensure the availability of requisite skills within project and program teams.
- Directly supervise project managers and contribute to their performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement personnel training plans while mentoring junior staff.
- Engage with personnel at all levels to evaluate infrastructure technology requirements.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements in organizational project management processes.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 15 years of pertinent experience in project management within industrial sectors such as mining, metals, oil and gas, etc.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and MS Office Suite skills.
- Analytical, self-sufficient, results-driven, and ethically responsible.
