Job Title: Executive Assistant

The Parliament of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and organized Executive Assistant to support the Member of Parliament for Alfred-Pellan in his constituency office.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the Member and his staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative and operational services to the Member and his staff
  • Identifying and implementing administrative processes and procedures
  • Managing budgets and ensuring compliance with House of Commons rules and policies
  • Formatting complex documents and reports
  • Researching topics and compiling data
  • Maintaining the CRM database and scheduling
  • Representing the Member professionally and effectively in interactions with constituents
Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Post-secondary education from a recognized institution or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in an administrative support position
  • Knowledge of administrative methods, techniques, and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Assets

Knowledge of the political environment and bilingualism are considered assets.
