Job Summary:

The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Assistant provides day-to-day support to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders in a family-centered care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individual and group program plans
  • Provide therapeutic support to patients in emergency departments or medical units
  • Document patient progress and collect statistical data
  • Support student education and other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Completion of diploma in Social Work or Child and Youth Care or completion of Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
  • Preferred qualifications: Brain Story Certification and Collaborative Problem Solving Training

Working Environment:

This position is part of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health services to children and adolescents in a hospital setting.
