**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Train and develop staff to provide excellent customer service and ensure that they understand our store's policies and procedures.
  • Schedule department staff to meet business needs and ensure that the department is running efficiently.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety and Food Safety policies are followed within the store and that staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Train and motivate staff to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Delegate and prioritize workload for staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Effectively merchandise and promote products to enhance sales and profits.
  • Recommend sales goals and monitor market trends to ensure that our store remains competitive.
  • Ensure that products are received, stored, and handled efficiently to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Maintain up-to-date information about market trends and competitor activities to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure that all products are properly rotated and priced to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure that all signage is accurate and up-to-date to enhance sales and profits.
  • Accountable for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.

**Requirements:**

  • 1-3 years of management experience in a fresh department (produce, meat, deli, bakery).
  • Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the NOFRILLS concept, including low price image.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the produce department's impact on store performance, including merchandising, inventory management, and cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage people and work with minimal functional direction.
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of the produce area, operations, and products.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
