Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Repair Shop Supervisor to oversee operations at our facility. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 to 48 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a secondary school graduation certificate and have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to clients regarding services performed and future maintenance needs.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace components of automotive systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct tests and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance services efficiently.
  • Document and report on issues encountered and work completed.
  • Mentor and train apprentices in automotive repair techniques.
  • Ensure repaired systems meet manufacturer specifications through testing and adjustments.
  • Oversee the repair and replacement of parts in commercial transport truck systems.
  • Manage the repair of truck-trailer systems effectively.
  • Estimate costs for parts and labor for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the repair process.
  • Inspect mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement and Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification.
  • Experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Proficiency in working with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
Specialization Areas
  • Expertise in 4-wheel drive systems.
  • Knowledge of standard and automatic transmission repairs.
  • Experience in engine diagnostics and repairs.
  • Familiarity with brake systems and electrical systems.
