{"Job Title": "Mental Health Therapist", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work with our team and external partners to provide high-quality trauma-focused mental health therapies to children, teens, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide trauma-focused mental health therapies to children, teens, and families
* Build specialized parenting skills for caregivers with children who have exceptional needs
* Formulate diagnoses as appropriate, using the DSM-5-TR and other diagnostic tools
* Conduct case management functions, including convening case conferences and liaising with CASA therapists and psychiatrists, community services, and other professionals involved with the child and their family
* Coordinate consultation with other therapists or external partners as appropriate
* Supervise and/or precept student placements
* Contribute to staff knowledge and understanding of discipline-specific issues

Requirements:

* Master's degree in psychology, social work, or occupational therapy
* A minimum of two years of clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions
* Active registration and in good standing with Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW), College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), or Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)

Conditions of Employment:

* A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
* A satisfactory Child Intervention Check
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground

The program addresses the need for services closer to students by bridging a child's mental health and school needs, through a coordinated approach by a mental health team and a teacher.
