About the Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team of professionals in providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and consultation services for children and families experiencing emotional, social, behavioral, and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-informed and best-practice treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy, to children and families experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including consulting psychiatrists, parents, teachers, social workers, and other child and family service providers, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide consultation services to support the mental health and well-being of children and families.
- Work closely with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, with training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy.
- Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-informed treatment modalities and best practices in mental health care.
