We are currently in search of a Maintenance Planning Specialist for our facility. The ideal candidate will be tasked with identifying, preparing, and managing maintenance operations to enhance work productivity.

Reporting to the Maintenance Director, the selected individual will assist maintenance supervisors and their teams in the comprehensive management of maintenance tasks, equipment reliability, and lifecycle, with a focus on safety and quality. They will oversee work by ensuring procurement planning, complex assignments, and/or those requiring internal/external collaboration in accordance with company policies and practices.

Job Status: Permanent / Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday - Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and outline detailed methodologies for work orders based on priorities and necessary resources
  • Develop and execute a preventive maintenance strategy
  • Plan work schedules during production and maintenance periods
  • Ensure required materials are available for scheduled work orders
  • Formalize and keep technical documentation current
  • Define specifications for subcontracted work
  • Maintain records in the maintenance management system
  • Prepare for annual equipment maintenance periods
  • Efficiently manage spare parts inventory
  • Monitor tool usage and returns
  • Encourage safety compliance among team members
  • Participate in departmental committees to address real challenges
  • Develop strategies for equipment maintenance and minimize downtime through failure analysis
  • Manage projects related to safety and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety and food quality standards
  • Other related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in mechanical, electromechanical, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems is advantageous
  • Proficient in various computer tools and systems
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
