Adecco Canada is currently recruiting for an experienced ATIP Consultant to join our team on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain one. The opportunity will be remote until the COVID situation is resolved.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Process ATI and Privacy requests in accordance with ATI and Privacy legislation and corporate policy.
* Analyze documents and advise requesters on alternative methods to obtain access to information outside the ATIP Acts.
* Explain the requirements of the Privacy Act to requesters and advise them on how to exercise their rights to obtain and/or correct their personal information.
* Assess Privacy and ATI requests and determine the statutory right of access to corporate information under Privacy and ATI legislation.
* Provide advice, interpretation, and guidance on Privacy and ATI to management, stakeholders, staff, and requesters on the application of the Privacy and ATI Acts and related regulations within the Corporation.
* Consult on and resolve cases, including those involving third parties, and safeguard information protected by Privacy and ATI legislation or other statute/regulation from improper or inappropriate disclosure.
* Negotiate recommendations on the disclosure/non-disclosure of information and develop strategies for the resolution of complaints under investigation by the Information Commissioner.
* Analyze Privacy and ATI issues and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and guidelines.

**Requirements:**

* University degree in a discipline relevant to this position or commensurate to work experience in the field of Privacy and ATI.
* Fluently bilingual in both French and English (written, spoken).
* 10+ years' experience in the field of Privacy and Access to Information as a senior contractor.
* 2+ years' experience in leading process reviews (LEAN or leading ATI teams).
* Experience in ATI processes and management either through experience in leading an ATI team or through business process review.
