About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Matteo Lighting Inc. as a key member of our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits, including dental and healthcare plans.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including statistical and accounting reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, QuickBooks, and MS Office.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, reliable, team player, and time management skills.
Work Environment

Language and Work Schedule

The primary language of work is English, and the work schedule is 35 hours per week.
